1. Actually left the house for a whole weekend. Then had people come visit. All in the same month.

Did not die, burst into tears in public or hit anybody. So a win.

2. Have been admitted to a depression research/treatment program on the condition that I cut back on my alcohol. Have discovered as a result that it takes me exactly five days of not drinking to become homicidal with suppressed rage.

3. House renos continue. One day I will post pictures, you gotta see this to believe it. It's taking far longer than I would have hoped, mostly due to the need to coordinate about a half-dozen subcontractors for the wiring, tiling, windows, plumbing, HVAC and floors.

I am attempting to be sanguine about it. It helps enormously that Axel is very happy to pack up his kit and fuck off to another country for the weekend so I can have some private space for a day or two.

4. Job is awesome, partners are awesome. Body/brain stuff sucks, but you know. Working on it.
