Day 2

Woke up a bunch of times during the night but was able to get back to sleep. Snapped WIDE AWAKE just before my alarm went off. This might end up being an advantage after all.

Still tired. Less spaced than yesterday. Also less dizzy.

Thirsty like holy crap.

I had zero appetite yesterday. Skipped lunch, ate half my dinner.

Also, the documented SSRI effect on sexual function had better be extremely effing temporary or this experiment is going to come to an dramatically precipitous halt.

Of course everyone's experience will be different, but re: the sexual side effects, can't say Jon's been particularly negatively affected.

One thing I would be interested to know is if you notice any changes in your skin, more specifically, it getting oilier. Jon's been complaining of feeling really "greasy" the past few weeks, and he's never really had oily or combo skin. We're not sure if this is due to the cipralex, or just changes to his diet (as in, he's eating). Not just his face either - all over.

I'm actually finding the opposite - my skin is always chronically dry, but now it seems to be even dryer. I also have to use my eye drops more often. But at the same time my palms seem to be sweating more.

The shrink asked me if I was experiencing any vivid dreams. I don't remember any but Axel says I'm really restless at night, so who knows.

You know, I've really started to notice this effect in the last couple of weeks. It's not so much that my skin is oilier, but I'm definitely sweating more and my sweat feels unusually oily. If that makes any sense.

I have chronic dry skin so it feels really weird.
