So what does one do with all those extra brain cycles when one is not constantly internally screaming at the voices in one's head to just fuck off and leave one alone?

It's gotten really quiet in here lately.

When I can hear myself think instead of everyone else in my head thinking for me, I write. I write A LOT. And I paint and get messy with oil pastels and think about getting some clay so I can give sculpting another go... In short, I get creative.


When the head's going crazy I dig cement blocks out of my back yard and attempt to erradicate the dandylion population from the front yard - both pointless and futile tasks I can do until both myself and those damned voices are too tired to keep going and i pass out for a few hours. Either that or I dance until I'm falling down....


The quiet's nice, isn't it?

Actually, now I have time to think about the answer, I don't know what the serious answer really is.
And that worries me.
But, I think the real answer is that you fill the available spare bandwidth with noise. Extra thoughts. Songs. Thinky-stuff. White noise. Whatever.
