welcome to hell. here's your accordian
Jun. 26th, 2012 01:30 pmTurns out two weeks of vacation was exactly what I needed. Just the right amount of going-out-doing-stuff, sleeping-in and lounging-around-like-a-lizard. I came home energized, happy and feeling great.
Two days after getting home I am tired & dizzy.
Houston, we have a problem.
In fact, there might be two problems. One of them is the fact that I had to make about six attempts to spell "Houston".
Of course, the majority of said tired is because I stayed up late two nights in a row cleaning the kitchen. We had a major ant invasion on Sunday night so every single thing got scrubbed and the entire floor mopped and bleached. It was bizarre, I walked into the kitchen to make lunch and no ants. Four hours later I walk into the kitchen again and the place was covered. And I got bit a bunch of times. I've honestly never been bitten by an ant before but these little fuckers were after meat. Any inter-species tolerance was immediately purged with fire after that.
One of these days I will figure out how Axel so often manages to be not home when this stuff happens. I swear the man has a gift.

Date: 2012-06-26 10:49 pm (UTC)I find a garlic and vinegar works well, if they do come back.
Did you find their point of entry?
Were they Australian ants? :)
I got bit by a bull ant once.
Just once.
I know that issue. Always happens to me too.
