I asked for this, right?
Nov. 28th, 2002 07:28 pmHoly Crap Am I Ever Tired.
After yesterdays little stress melt-down,
bcholmes and I made arrangements to get started on some of the painting that has to be done around here in order to get the house ready for sale.
So while she went off the the Great Big Hardware Store of Doom to get paint and supplies I spent all morning moving furniture, hauling various objects out of cupboards, disassembling shelves and, as usual, carting metric buttloads of crap to the curb.
Note that I elected to do the job that exposes me to the most dust. That is because, ladies and gentlemen, I am a DumbAss.
Many hours later we have the first coat of primer laid down and I feel like my face is going to fall off. I've washed all the dust off my head and as soon as my hair dries I'm going to throw on some clean clothes and
the_axel and I are going to go out for some advanced pint therapy.
Then I am going to curl up into a little ball of tiredness and die. Then I will get up in the morning to come home and do more painting.
And with some actual discernable progress being made, and with aching tired muscles and the allergy attack from Hades, I feel so much happier and less stressed out than I did yesterday.
That is because, ladies and gentlemen, I am insane.
Life is good.
