I've been mostly hanging out on Face place lately because that seems to be where all the conversations are going on. Except Face place sucks as a medium for conversation. The format discourages lengthy convesations and it scrolls shit out of reach too fast even if you get to see it in the first place. And I don't have the self-discipline to overcome those short-comings.

Just got back from Convergence late last night, so I'm feeling tired, sore, nostalgic, happy, sad and introspective all at once. I met cool new people, reconnected with old friends, and had a good time despite the Gothapaolooza tendencies of the event. :) It was really odd not being in Boston while my friends were posting about being in lockdown during the manhunt, but Convergence was honestly the best place to be. Well except for the reactions I'd get whenever anyone asked me where I was from, their faces would fall from a smile to concern and I'd have to blink back tears.
So, I wanna talk about friends and community and visiting people I miss, like certain people who might live in Toronto. :) I've got an event that conflicts with the event in June, but I kinda like the idea of coming on a quieter weekend anyway.

That would be awesome! Axel is the one with the problematic schedule right now because he's out of town two weekends a month for larping. I'll get him to post a list here so we can coordinate something.

There's an LJ renaissance going on? Cool. Faceplace tends to 'lose' older content, too, which, if you're planning to use or review it later isn't ideal. Found that out the hard way.
