Holy crap that last two weeks.

Holy crap the rest of the friggin' month.

We got the kitchen painted, the freezer defrosted and the back yard mostly cleaned up for the party. Everything got done in time to take the weekend off. Which worked out perfectly because the lovely [personal profile] mschaos and [livejournal.com profile] sushispook were in town for a wedding. They had a Saturday free of family obligations so we all went to Niagara Falls and took pictures of things and walked all over and went on the Maid Of The Mist and got half-drowned. (If you ever get a chance to go on The Maid of the Mist? Dooooooooooooooooooooooo eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. It was awesome.) And then we drove back to Toronto and converted them both to the cult of the Sushi Pizza.

Then the following week I got sick. I got so sick. The kind of sick where my lungs fill up with liquid and I have to sleep sitting up so I don't drown in the middle of the night. So that really sucked.

And while I was busy being all sick I also had appointments with an opthamologist, a gastroenterologist and an ENT. And then Carlin developed an abcess on his chin and had to be taken to the vet. And a couple of those appointments may have involved having to do a lot of rushing. In the pouring rain. While I couldn't breathe. And there may have been a minor (major) meltdown involved. Possibly.

Anyway.

It all got dealt with and both Carlin and I are on the mend and last night I managed to mostly get some sleep while lying down in my own bed.

This week is more physio and more needles in my face and I have to find time to talk to my bank and to buy new glasses. Then this weekend is Axel's birthday party so there will be food and alcohol and staying up late and being silly buggers. And that will be fun. Next week will be more talking to banks. And then Axel goes to DR and I put my feet up in my empty house and chill the fuck out for a weekend.

Then next month it starts all over again. Only hopefully without the sick part.

Sounds like an awful week but glad you get to have fun this weekend and then some much needed down time (even if it has talking to banks in between)
