It's been over four years since my eye surgery.

I still occasionally wake up in the morning and my first thought is, "Oh shit. I forgot to take my contact lenses out last night."

(You know what's awesome? If I get dust or grit in my eye now I blink and it goes away! What a great system!)

It's been only 2.5 years for me, but I still, some nights before turning off the light, reach up to my face to take my glasses off.

I think it took me nearly 10 years to get over that and the nightmares about waking up half-blind again.
