Is there a way of filtering for tags in the archives? I'm looking for entries with the "they're made out of meat!" tag in 2005-2010, and I can't figure out how to do it that isn't just scrolling back manually.

Yes. Pull down "read" and go to tags.
Or if your layout incudes "most popular tags", you can click on the tag you want ot on "most popular tags" if it's not popular to get to that same page.
Or you can click on the tag attached to any post to see all the posts with that tag.

I don't know of a way to filter on both tag and date. I think the best bet is just to do the tag filter (just click on the tag you're interested in in your list) and then scroll back through those 157 entries to find the appropriate date range.

That's the problem, it gives me all the posts with that tag. I want just the ones within a date range.
