Definitely far from the worst I've had. Well, so far anyway.

I'm finally starting to figure out the cycles so I knew this one was coming. It actually seems to make it easier, that I can prep for it instead of having it sneak up on me.

That really does help, I got a lot better at managing back when I realized that I had a chain of triggers and things like SAD that trainwrecked me every winter. It helps to know what's happening if nothing else. And it let me put some safeguards into place so I didn't end up with literal six month gaps in my diary as happened a couple very bad years.

This one got me totally off-guard. I thought starting transition would make me better instead of stripping off the last of my dissociation and leaving me completely helpless. I'm kind of pissed, frankly. Dissociation: You Did It For A Reason.

Nope. Happens in the summer too.

I do have a lightbox on the basis that it can't hurt, but nothing indicates it's SAD.

I get a touch of it in the high summer too.

I think, on the best available evidence, that it's some deep-seated issue I have with my birthday, because it comes on a few weeks out, and fades away after.
