The Toronto Comics Anthology comes out about once a year-ish and features stories and art by Toronto artists. Topics range from traditional super-hero and fantasy fare to slice-of-life.
One of the cool things about re-reading them all at once is just watching the technical improvements over the years. The first volume is small and dark and I often found the ink muddy and the text hard to read. By issue 2 these problems were behind them and issue 4 is the first volume printed in full colour.
I also find it really interesting the kinds of things locals find noteworthy about their city as opposed to what the tourist board would have you believe. The CN tower is here, but so is Honest Eds, the white squirrels that live in the grounds of the mental health hospital, and the library that's shaped like the turkey. And so many stories about the transit system.
