I figured it was late enough in the day to do some physical labour outside.

Wrong.

I know have a raging headache and I just might throw up.

Moral: Do not fuck with the sun. It's bigger than you are, and it's been around a lot longer.

The heat index hit 38 here this afternoon. There's a reason I don't go outside in the summer in Houston. Take that weather you had today and imagine 3-4 months of it. IOW, I feel your pain.

Also, drink a bunch of water. It sounds like you have heat exhaustion.

I was outside for all of 15 minutes!

I passed out for a couple of hours, and started downing water as soon as I woke up. I just, er, emptied my stomach and I feel tons better now.

But it's probably been hot all day and not so much air conditioning available, I'm guessing. It doesn't take much when you're not used to it, especially if you're working.

I park 2 minutess' walk away from the main building at work - I was feeling ill by the time I was halfway there. Of course, the air quality around the airport is _shit_ - jet engines don't come with catalytic converters.

ugh.

So it isn't just here.

The cats and I have been hibernating this afternoon. There was a trip to the pool though that seemed to help.

Like moses said, get some water. Also taking a nap after I've had some motrin and the water seems to help it pass or at least makes it seem to pass more quickly.

I can't imagine what it's going to be like in a month.

Heat exhaustion is a bitch. Drink lots of water and lie down in a cool, dark room. A cold wet towel to the back of the neck works wonders too.

I must have chugged a gallon of water during dance class tonight.

Basements are a godsend in this weather.I'm going to go downstairs and sleep in my basement right now before I melt.

The Sun took out its wrath on me Saturday, actually first, The Wind off the lake tricked me first and the sun sucker punched me.

Just waiting for the itchy-skin-peely part now.

Hope you are feeling better now!
