So this is the last concert I went to before lockdown started. Early last fall I think? Months are from the before times. Anyway, they were fucking amazing.

The Hu was one of my last concerts as well, I'm planning to work seeing them live in Ulaanbaatar into an eventual trip to Mongolia. :-)
Never heard of Bloodywood before, def going to dig into them!

The Hu was late September 2019. Seems like a lifetime ago.

I love Yuve Yuve Yu, but still the same time I get a pretty supremacist vibe from it, the same way I’ve been cautious about Norupo despite loving the style. I’m guessing if you’re deep enough into the catalog to go to a show it’s not actually a big theme in the music?

I get where you're coming from, but I honestly don't think that's by intent.

A big theme of their music is pride in their culture and their heritage and I suspect that comes across differently when you translate it into a language where those words and concepts have different connotations.
