Anybody have a link to a decent plant identification guide? Something where I can I put in a list of characteristics and it will spit out a "it's probably this" answer?

My google-fu is weak and I have yet to find a phone app that does what it claims.

I checked out their links, but most of the websites are ones I've already looked at - they are either regional or they focus on flower identification.

I swear there used to be a site that asked a series of questions about all the parts of the plant. It's entirely possible that it just doesn't exist any more.

I have a collection of plants that came out of a mixed arrangement. I have figured out that one is kalanchoe, which is from Africa, and another is cordyline, most varieties of which come from the South Pacific. So looking at sites that only list local plants doesn't help me because the unidentified ones could come from literally anywhere.

Ah, I assumed you wanted to identify something growing in your yard. :)

Post a pic of it? Not that I'm likely to know what it is. :) My go-to strategy with these things is to type all the things you'd check off on the identification key into google images ... almost always gets it eventually. If it was a bug you could post a pic on bugguide.net ... you'd think there must be something like that for plants.

There's a nature app called Seek by iNaturalist that identifies plants, animals, and insects using images https://www.inaturalist.org/pages/seek_app it can't always get the exact plant/animal/insect but usually gets you close
