I added 509 words to the novel today. I feel it's fortuitous that I just mentioned for the first time the protagonist's non-binary love-interest-to-be.

Checking in for day 3 and 4, both days with the NaNo minimum reached and yesterday also my personal goal. I actually managed to get back into my main NaNo project WIP already, which pleases me not only a little. Fiddling around with Campfire contributed in a major way to this - just transferring some of my character and timeline info into it helped me connect a few dots I've missed so far, helped me find the solution for my first chapter plot hole dilemma, and totally motivated me for writing. I've done a first draft for the beginning of the new prologue and am really happy about that.

Me, too. If I do check the news, I look at it through my fingers, the way one watches a particularly scary scene in a horror film.

I appear to have lost 3 November. I'm not sure how that happened.

4 November check-in: 982 words. I woke up today with an opening scene of a sequel I have been considering as my next project and on which I even did some work at the beginning of September before I got my assignment for the Spook-me ficathon (finished on Halloween). I'm not sure if this is where I want to go with the sequel as it's not connected with the section I wrote in early September, but it was in my head, so I wrote it down.

5th: Finished my weekly update post, added 124 words to my yuletide treat and scrawled another page of zero draft in my notebook.

Day 4: 455 words. One of the bonuses of having written alibi sentences and fragments from all over the novel over the last while means I have lots of starting points and I found one that really worked for me today. (455 words is A Lot for me for a day)

Oh excellent. I'll have to try that strategy with my alibi sentences - usually I try to tag it onto what already exists and and if I'm already blocked it doesn't really help.

Well done on words! I'm in the same boat as you, 455 is a lot for me too. (I can't even with these people who sail past 1K on the daily like it's nothing!)

Day 4: 2,045 nano words. Starting tomorrow I'm switching from a prologue feeling to the main setting and plot, and this is when my regrets for not planning really begin. Hopefully I can figure enough out as I go that it's fixable later.

Hi! I'm new around these parts, though not new to WED. Thanks for hosting, and I'm looking forward to getting to know you a bit over the next month!

I haven't checked in yet, but I have been writing every day since the first of Nov; I'm generally done with a 2,300 word first draft of single fandom exchange story that's due at month end. I foresee some editing in my future, as we all lurch toward a nail-biting finish that will hopefully signal a return to normalcy in the Western world as we know it...

I wrote 477 words yesterday, succeeding in my goal of 400 words per day. Very much appreciating this group and the daily practice of writing -- definitely helps me keep momentum going!

Hello! I'm late to the party! 8-(

I've been so distracted by... you know, and with personal stuff (PLUMBING, gah) that I've missed the first 4 days of November WED. I'm doing Nanowrimo and have written every day, with a big burst on Day 2 that is keeping me above water wordcount-wise. But I'll have to catch up today. In between chewing my nails.
