No Nano for me today, too busy with femslashex. But I did finish off the small fic I was working on yesterday and get it to beta, which seemed a much more achievable goal.

I realized I hate everything I've written for Nanowrimo so far, and I think at 13 consecutive years, this might be the last time I participate. My approach to writing has changed, and the only reason I have been doing it in the past couple of years was mostly because of the community.

Can you keep the community without participating in the event? There's nothing wrong with deciding that a particular tool isn't working for you any more.

Nov 7th - 1187 words. I surprised myself. I was feeling very unfocused nut I managed a double drabble, a triple drabble, and a third thing that eas supposed to be a drabble of some description but wound up being 608 words. I might add to it at a later date. Also a smidge of work on another project late last night.

I have one sleeve attached to my sweater!

Thank you, it was pretty good even though I ended up unpicking the ribbing I'd done for the front of one of my projects. I was using the wrong needles so it didn't match the back.

For the 7th: I finished and uploaded my FemslashEx fic. It needs editing and a new title, but I think it's turning out pretty well all in all.

I added 706 words in between tears of hope and joy and just before we headed out for a long autumn walk along an old railroad corridor--hope incarnate, to my mind, and proof that rusted old things can be made into beautiful ones once again.

I wrote a bit over 1k today, once evening hit and I finally had time to write. :) Mostly some broad-world stuff that lets the story not be quite as tight-focused as it otherwise tends to be, because I'm finally heading into the endgame and so the world can be opened up more to reflect where the main characters are.

Day 7: over 3,000 words. I broke my rule of not going much over 2,000 but at least managed not to end at a natural pausing point, so hopefully I'll have motivation to write again tomorrow. Not feeling super great (despite a good word count)~

Thank you! I'm really trying to streamline what I do for nano, so as not to either overload myself or falter and quit. One part of that is when I'm done for the day (around 2,000 words) I don't read what the day's writing until right before starting the next day's writing. ... All that to say, hopefully it'll look better when I get to that today. :D

I wrote a bunch of words on Nanowrimo. I was planning to write in our bookshop, but it got a bit too busy (Covid-safe busy, but busy enough to be distracting) so I ended up writing in the tiny, crowded storage room. Hee! Well, it worked, so I'm not going to complain. Have to fix that flickering light fixture, though. ;-)
