war and peace

I haven't participated in the peace meme until know, because I think such things tends to be... simplistic. Too many people see such things as a substitute for action in meatspace.

I am not a pacifist. I will fight for what I believe in. I will fight to defend myself and those I care about.

But this war is retarded. It goes against the better judgement of the UN, the American people and the rest of the world. Waged by a man who wasn't even elected to the position he holds in order to distract the public from the complete balls-up he has made of his job.

And I am going to contact my MP today and tell him that I am proud of my government for not getting dragged into this dick-waving contest.

(His office was pleased and surprised to hear from me. I think they don't get many calls telling them they are doing something right.)

heh... yeah I just did a google search and came up with that same page. I've linked it in my LJ as well. :)
