Another early post as today I have meetings with healthcare people for my step-father. Cross your fingers for him if you can.

Last night I dug through a small pile of USB sticks until success! I found one where I had stored some of my old WIPs. I then had to download Scrivener onto my remaining Windows computer so I could convert it to text and put in on my laptop, which runs Ubuntu. But among them I found an old very self-indulgent little fantasy that I started back when life was similarly stressful, and it is exactly what my frazzled brain needs right now.

Day 22: Re-drafted one of the ficlets I wrote last week, 1,250 words. I feel like I'm beginning to get the somewhat confused pile of little things I've been writing recently into some order, which is nice.

Today, I decided I didn't quite have the words to stick the landing on Laci Waxwing, so I started the first significant editing pass. I only did the first three pages, but I took out one chunk already because it's been rendered extraneous by a later part. So far, so good.
