Last night ended up being very productive - did a bunch of editing and added over 900 new words. Let's see if I can do it again tonight.

Also, we are in the last week of August and it looks like we don't have a host signed up yet for next month. Anybody available to take over hosting duties for September, speak up!

Aug 28th - 994 words. A double drabble, and the rest is on the porny project. All that's left is to edit again and do a bit of fleshing out on a couple of scenes and some dialogue that's not quite right.

28 August - 200ish words mostly on TRSB. Also did a scroll-text/poem that had the interesting shallenge of needing to be a short as possible while still getting all the essential elements in & make poetic sense. I'm pretty pleased with it. I hope the recipient is.

I gave up temporarily on writing the WIPs I'm supposed to, instead spending happy time with reorganising a couple of drawer fics written aroudn the same set of characters to get them into a longer narrative, and writign short drafts for each section so I know what goes where. I'm also using this kind of organisation to practise for novel-lenght-plotting, so it's not only drawer fic work, so to say! *g*

I have to say, changing what I'm working on has made all the difference. I hope it works as well for you.

It's ususally a good method for me, too, when I'm stuck. This time is different; I've been on a really good path with good inspiration, but the loss of a dear friend two and a half weeks ago threw me off considerably; I haven't been able to write with the proper focus since then. I've been reading a lot, particularly old things, and also dug around in my own old entries and old drafts and plotbunnies, which has become its own source of inspiration, but I need yet to get back into the right mindset. Usually my to-go-method is either ploughing through with some means suitable for the occasion, or sticking to alibi sentences and meta while doing something completely different (mostly either needlecraft or video gaming), but that doesn't work for grieving, that simply needs time. Thankfully I don't have any looming deadlines other than self-set ones I can ignore.
