strangers talk only about the weather

Our contractors hung a bunch of tarp over the Money Pit yesterday and wrapped everything up tight to prep for Weather. Highly optimistic of them. The tarp is already shredded like tissue paper.

I can still hear the sump pump going so that's the important thing.

I did my Xmas visit with the Old Man last night and took the streetcar home. The big storm o' doom hit just before we left his place, but it started off as rain at first. Our streetcar driver sounded exactly like Nick Offerman and he kept saying things like "Prepare your personal flotation devices" as he let people off.

I don't have to be anywhere now until Sunday, so you bet yer butt I'm staying inside the house.
