Still catching up. At least these give me an excuse to post.

11 – Take the Stairs Day. Does your house have stairs? If you have the choice of stairs or an elevator, which do you choose?
12 – Marzipan Day: Do you like marzipan?
13 – Make Your Dream Come True Day: Have you ever had a dream come true? Care to tell the story?
14 – International Kite Day: Have you ever flown a kite? Have you ever been to a kite festival? Have you ever flown a kite at a kite festival?
15 – World Snow Day: Does it snow where you live? If not, have you ever seen snow? If yes, what do you think of snow?
16 – Nothing Day: Should we observe this day by not asking a question? Is it literally possible to do nothing?

I have stairs in my house and I use them every day, often multiple times a day. Not a fan of marzipan. I have a couple of times been to places that I first saw in dreams and recognized. (Who knows what's going on there.) I have a vague memory of flying a kite once with my parents when I was very small. I am currently sitting under a foot of snow. Nothing Day sounds like something I would have do at a retreat or it would never stick.

17 – Ditch New Year's Resolutions Day: Do you make New Year's resolutions? If so, how successful are you at keeping them?

Eeeeh, kinda sorta? The fact that my birthday lands the day after New Years means it does make a natural road marker for some introspection.

I don't do, "I am going to quit drinking" or "I am going to lose [x] pounds this year" style resolutions. But at some point in the last few years I did make a vow to be kinder to myself and start looking out for myself more. Just focusing some of my energy on doing things that make me healthier and safer - and one hopes, happier. So New Years and turning 60 felt like a good time to say OK I made these changes last year, is that still working for me? What do I want to focus on now so I can build on those things?

So yeah. That.

Old Man is back in the hospital. He was fine when I saw him but complained of a headache. The headache did not go away and today he was confused, so back he went. They are running tests, but it's a safe bet it's another bacterial infection.

This is the major reason I'm so paranoid about catching the plague. If I give it to him, his immune system will just fold up like nothing.

I hope he pulls through, and you manage to avoid the plague (or, in the worst case realise you have it before you visit him).

I get shit for being paranoid (socially and at work).

I am fine being that guy.
