Write Every Day: Day 7

Yesterday went very smoothly, so thank you for all the well wishes.

The good: The temperature has taken a cooler turn, so I am able to go back to writing at my desk. Which I did last night after getting home.
The bad: It's cooler because the sun is being blocked by a thick layer of smoke. All of Canada is on fire. I have been coughing non-stop today after being out in it for most of yesterday. I apologize to everybody downwind for my government, which has been very accurately described as three oil companies in a trenchcoat. (I've also seen it described as three logging companies in a trenchcoat, but you know, tomato tomato.)

Anyway, words happened. And at some point whenever I am hosting WED I remember that I haven't yet put my own name down and this time around it took exactly one week.

From just south of your border (at an AQI of 130 today, predicated to be 170 tomorrow, so getting off lightly compared to the eastern half of NYS), please know that our government certainly has no room to talk where clean air, fossil fuels, climate change, etc. are concerned. Solidarity, my friend! :-)

On Day 7, I added 388 post-coital words to wrap up Chapter 15.

I've seen pictures of New York, it literally looks like the surface of Mars with the orange sky.
