Write Every Day: Day 7

Last night was a much shorter walk to pick up a plant that somebody was giving away. I now have a truly enormous sage in my office window and it smells amazing.

I spent some time thinking about how to get my characters to where I want them to go, and managed to put down about 500 words before bed.

Bees LOVE sage and it really thrives in our climate. Rabbits will eat the hell out of it in winter, but mine always come back bigger. /unsolicited gardener /totes love sage :) You can make pesto with it!

July 7th - 659 words on a new fic. It's not finished, but it's been a busy, tiring day and I wanted to fit in some crafting.

Finished writing up beta feedback, and then wrote 100 words of werewolf fic. Total wordcount: 6,100. (Arrgh, tomorrow I want to make better progress...preferably by writing earlier in the day.)

Jul 7: Received some very encouraging beta feedback, which I very much needed because finishing this thing is going to be the death of me. Corrected a few easy things and added another 200-odd words, bringing the manuscript to 13K.

Excellent progress and also sage! I have a big plant myself I’ve had for three years or so now, and I love the smell.

On Day 7, we had a lot of errands to run and chores to do, so I wrote 393 words on Chapter 17 in the morning before we had to leave.

Oh, sage as an indoor plant? That sounds interesting; I haven't seen that before. Do you know if it's a special variety? We "just" have a regular one, salvia officinalis, in the garden, mostly allowed to bloom to feed the bees and bumblebees, but it's definitely very pretty.
