This post is mainly an excuse to show off my new icon.

Day 8. This is retarded. I feel like I'm doing some kind of marathon, except no deserving charity will be getting any money.

Well, except for the deserving charity of me. Hell, it better be me. If I don't get a reasonably-sized paycheck at the end of all this crap, it will be highly unlikely they'll be able to convince me to do it again.

I anticipate homicidal rages by day 10. By day 12 I'll be speaking in tongues and biting the heads off of chickens.

Yesterday was the transition from midnights to days, so I only slept for about 3 hours in an attempt to get myself back onto sleep-at-night schedule. So my brain was completely mush. I could barely remember my name, and forget doing anything actually useful. I was like this only once before, and I had to call up the_axel and ask him to tell me what I was supposed to be doing that day.

Now I'm debating whether or not to go out to the pub tonight. I have zero money and after a 92 (and counting) hour work-week, I could really use an early night.

But still. I'm tempted.

Didn't Earth Loop Recall used to be some goth rock band with a generic name like Angela's Ashes, or Garden of Eden's Delight?

I know it was some horribly generic name, but that they got a lot of good press.....

I've not done the marathon work thing since I was 19. It does truly suck. Especially when you have 8 hours between jobs scheduled to sleep on the Sunday daytime (hard enough in the summer) and someone in the house decides to have all their friends up for the weekend. I went to a new job on the Monday morning on 40 hours without sleep.

Thank you for reminding me why I do the boring 9 to 5 (really 8:30 to 4:30) schtick.
