the_siobhan1. If you de-friend me, it's probably not going to occur to me that you might be pissed at me. I'm just going to assume I'm boring you, or that your friends list is growing out of control or that all the talk about bugs is grossing you out. In fact, if you make public posts often enough, I might not even notice.
2. If you delete your LiveJournal, I will assume that you are bored with it, or busy, or something of that nature. It will not occur to me to view this as indicative of some personal crisis. It will especially not occur to me to view this as a sign of impending suicide attempts. It will triply not occur to me that the deletion is in any way related to me personally.
3. Rule number 2. especially applies in cases where you specifically state ahead of time that you are planning on deleting your LiveJournal because you are bored with it, or busy, or something of that nature.
In other words, if you want me to know that you are pissed at me, you are just going to have to come out and tell me.

(On the other hand, if you borrow a large sum of money from me and then stop responding to my emails when I ask you how you are planning to pay me back, that I will probably notice.)
