I appear to have signed up for Nanowrimo.

Given that I only managed to write just over 4000 words last year, it shouldn't be too difficult to beat my existing record.

heh

do you mean that you chose to sign up for this year or that you noticed that your account is still valid from last year?

I actually had to go in to check, I wasn't sure if accounts were held over for subsequent years.

But yeah, account is still there, and I'm going to be using it.

You *are* a glutton for punishment. ;P

Of course, I'm kinda hankering to sign up and the only reason I haven't is cause I know I'll be stupid busy planning the wedding party for most of the month.

writing the crazy

I've been thinking about doing it for a while.

Plus my therapist wants me to dig up dirt about my childhood, and I joked last year about writing that life story everybody keeps mentioning...

Voila! Light bulb.

Heh, finally an excuse to use that icon that's been languishing since last year. :) I ended up writing short semiautobiographical travel related stories for NaNoWriMo last year, this time, I'm aiming for a "real" novel.
If you autobiography will be available for public consumption, I'd love to read it - I always get re-sucked-in to your travel diaries whenever I go to see if you've updated them. Speaking of which... w00t, lots of new stuff *writes off work for the day* :) I'm interested in the bits that connect the stories that you've told already. :)
I finally got my New Brunswick travel diary up, of course after it would be of any use to you, but I'm looking forward to your view of the maritimes. :)

I might put together an icon for Nanowrimo. Something with me pulling my hair out would be perfect.

I'm thinking I'm going to post short segments on here. The parts that are fit for public consumption, anyway.

Re New Brunswick, yeah I should get that finished before November then, shouldn't I!

*just finished reading your travel logs* Neat, I hadn't heard about all the places you saw on the way to/from Vegas before. :)
A friend of mine set up a freak-friendly mailing list for nano-ers:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Novembrists/
Tell her you know me and you can join, if you'd like to tear your hair out in the company of others. :)
I'm finding that writing up my travel diaries on my palm pilot at the end of every day can be a bad thing - I skimp on details as I'm tired - but if I wait too long after I get back, I lose details that way to my horrible memory. I should take more pictures. :)

I joined the mailing list. :-)

Pics are good, because they sometimes remind me of things I forget to note down.

No worries. I do that kind of thing all the time. :-)

A few people on my f-list participate. I figure it will go a lot better this year because I have a definite subject matter in mind.

And thanks!
