i'd think so, yeah. they usually use symbols or letters rather than names for the trails, and colour code the trails as well. if that one is at the side of the road, it's entirely possible that any other signs would be only on trails, or be temporary ones that they put up in winter only. in DR we had nice big signs like that at the start, then paint can lids with a big orange "D"(or other letter) on nailed to a tree for trail junctions.
might be snowmobile trails, alternately, especially if you can't see any sign of a path - they'll *definitely* run along the side of the road.
i'm 99% sure that they'll be one or the other - the trails they're pointing at would probably be obvious in winter, when there were tracks...
