Strange.
Perhaps "milliondollar" or "banner.gif" are triggering adblock?

Date: 2005-01-02 04:07 pm (UTC)Mystery solved.
Admittedly, like siani I'm kinda wondering why I would give money to some Canadian when there are one billion other things I could give my cash to (The Tsunami appeal, fer example).
Or, I could buy myself more beer.

Date: 2005-01-02 05:01 pm (UTC)It's a performance. It started yesterday, it will end on December 31 2005. The point is to watch it unfold and see what she does with it. Whether or not you want to "participate" in the perfomance or just watch it (or ignore it completely) is entirely up to you.

Date: 2005-01-01 06:25 pm (UTC)there's one interesting thing about the concept- it *is* what everyone's trying to do all the time. make a load of money fast without doing a crummy job, and get famous in the bargain. i suppose that if, at the end of the year, Astrid were to announce that the entire project had been a practical joke on that then it would be art.
don't get me wrong - i really like Astrid, and she *is* terribly clever, desperately funny, and so on, but the idea kind of blows.
