we're working on contract with somebody who's making us use their internal system for everything, including email, so we have an email address with them. over the weekend they upgraded their (windows) software, which -- not unexpectedly since this always seems to happen -- ended up with us not being able to access the internal mail server. put in a bug report. came back later to check whether any action was taken.

yeah, it was. but we don't know what, since they emailed our internal email address with it.

My host did that once when I was having problems accessing my email. To their credit, they were extremely embarrassed when I pointed it out to them.
