A weekend! Cool. I've heard tell of those

exsanguinated, electrolyte and caspervonb safely ensconsed in various new digs.

After the_axel and my day-of-massive-moving the Saturday before, (and ferretboi's much more manageable relocation the Saturday before that) I think I've had my share of hauling boxes for a while. Although I certainly can't bitch about the resulting new roominess I'm seeing in the pantal area.

(elixxir and emulsional, that does not mean you get out of asking if you need help sooner rather than later.

And 2ndaryairplane some time after that, and maybe even the_other_j after that...

Fuck economic indicators. The shuffle into bigger, brighter nicer digs is the real signal that the Toronto housing market has just opened up. And with everybody moving into the parkdale area, it's only a matter of time before Casperia declares it's independance.

The place where I dropped off the U-haul last night was right next to the railroad tracks, so I experimented with walking home along the rails. They really do lead me right to my backyard.

It's an interesting take on the city that you don't otherwise get to see much of. Back doors open into factorys full of screeching machines, abandoned lots, walls covered in elabourate graffiti. I passed under a bridge that showed signs of recent occupation. Junk yard dogs howled at me from behind high metal fences and every sound echoed along the long open corridor.

Next time I'll wear better shoes though, and long pants -- the only place to walk was either on the heavy gravel bed the rails lie on, or in high grass full of sharp spiney plants.
