i'm your toy, a 20th century boy

The housemate signed us up for an internet upgrade about a month ago. The fancy new modem arrived a week later. Since then we've been trying to get somebody out to install it, with multiple appointments made, missed, changed, and cancelled. At one point housemate got an email saying the installation had been completed - said email having arrived an hour after the supposed appointment, which of course had not actually happened.

I can always tell when housemate is on hold, they puts their phone on speaker and the horrible music plays for an hour while they wait.

Last week a dude showed up, looked at our house, said "Oh this installation will take two people," and left.

More horrible hold music. The installation was scheduled for yesterday.

Yesterday a dude showed up, looked at our house, said "Oh this installation will take two people." Yes we know that? That's what we asked for?

This time guy made the follow-up appointment on the spot and in theory two people will be showing up on Wednesday. I await the results with baited breath.

I get to put my name on the list for three days in a row! Whoo hoo! About 300 words yesterday and an alibi sentence at lunch today.
