Is there such a thing as being the opposite of feverish?

I think so. I'm cold all the time, even when I'm inside.

Now how do you pronounce it?

The H is silent. Say it like Serve-Eff, unless you're one of those pick-up/drop-off H type, in which case is Huh-Serve-Eff. Then go chop down a tree with your Haxe. :-)

I'm making up medical facts on the fly, but I think that a fever can be defined as a temperature variation away from the norm either direction. Not totally positive, but I don't see why not. In any event, whatever it's called it can happen. Pre-hypothermia?

My mother, the registered nurse, would be so pleased to know that I have retained so muc information about her profession.

A lot of times you feel really cold when you have a fever, so you may in fact be feverish. I'm assuming you don't have a thermometer at work. Also, it really weird to have that mom urge to feel your forehead through a computer screen.

I took my temperature this morning (I've been trying to track my cycle to see if it triggers my food issues) and it was hovering around 35. Which I think is a bit low.

Had to convert that to Fahrenheit, but yeah, that's kind of low. Not unusually low if you took your temp before getting out of bed though.

True. When I have the flu, I alternate between shivering like crazy and sweating my ass off.

Yeah, I think that's the closest.

I had always assumed that it meant feeling cold. I've never associated it with an actual drop in body temperature.

One can be moribund with fever though, can one not?
