First things first, many congratulations to [livejournal.com profile] lisiblac and her David for successfully bringing the alien safely into the world.

My computer is now back up and healthy and running like a dream after [livejournal.com profile] the_axel spent two days messing around with the damn thing. There were many utterances of the magical four-letter words and quite a bit of scavenging for parts -- apparently Aptivas are intended to be disposable. Hah! Take that consumerist culture! It now looks a lot more like it's namesake Cerebus, with extra bits hanging out at all angles, but M has offered to provide me with a spare case, one that's actually designed to fit a computer into it.

Which means now that I have to catch up with the 500+ emails that built up while I only had intermittant access. Urk. So if I owe you an email, I promise, I'm working on it.

The Chameleons UK show rocked my socks off. Holy fuck, but are they an amazing band to see live. And total sweethearts to deal with.

My fridge is full of left-over turkey. I am a happy carnivore -- I love turkey.

Life is good.

That's because live turkeys are nasty gloating bastards who sit on the end of your sleeping bag and smugly preen at you when they know they are safely out of season.

Dead ones are yummy.
