So Convergence bids are up for next year, and it turns out it's Louisville vs Toronto.

I have to admit it would be kind of cool for a Convergence to happen in Canada where I could actually just hang out and party with people.

(FWIW, I know at least one of the organizers and I think she would do a good job.)

I know someone on the committee too, but I wish there was a little more detail on the bid. I also wish it wasn't in July.

Which means I'm seriously considering giving Louisville my vote and I can't believe I'm even thinking that.

Wow, yeah Louisville's the better pitch. If Toronto doesn't have a venue in their pocket out of the gate, I'd be pretty worried. We had ICP/the juggalos out here in Guelph last year bc they couldn't get a venue in Toronto. I mean, have it in Hamilton or something. It would be the better choice.

It's miserable here in July.

I'm not actually worried about the venue, I know the organizers already do events and so they have connections with a few places in town.

But if the weather is anything like today's, holy shit. Axel said something about how we did C4 in August, but that was over 20 years ago and the summers were nothing like this.

I'm having trouble deciding on which one I'm most excited about. The Toronto Convergence is one my favourite ones, but I also love the city of Louisville. It's one of the few times I'm thinking I'd be strongly considering either city. I'm going to struggle with voting.
