Basement DJ moved out a couple of weekends ago. He had mostly been staying at his gf's place for the last few months, but he had mentioned to Axe that he thought there might be some mold starting up after all the rain we've been having. So once his stuff was in the truck we asked for his help in clearing the furniture out the bedroom and then pulled the bed away from the wall to have a look.

Holy hell.

So yeah. We really need that water sealing done.

The wall has been scrubbed down with vinegar, and we ripped out the carpet along the wall so it smells reasonably clean now. The bed is now against the opposite wall so we can watch for any more popping up.

The second shot of experimental vaccine has been acquired. I felt nothing on the day of the shot and I started wondering if maybe I had gotten the placebo after all. Next day I was yeah, my arm kinda hurts, guess I did get the vaccine. Day three I felt like hot buttered ass.

Day four I was really sore and hot and my arm swelled up so much the doctor called to make sure I was OK. I guess the app sends an alarm if your symptoms hit a certain level. I assured him I was fine and the day after that I was completely back to normal.

So from this I am concluding that I am now fully vaccinated can I get a wahoo.

Still working ridiculous overtime hours and not doing much of anything else. Boss is doing interviews to get us some help so the OT will go away in a couple of weeks, and I continue to squirrel away every penny I can get while I can get it. Hence the radio silence here.

I am having fantasies about all the places I will visit when that becomes a thing.

Woooooo shots! What kind of vaccine is it? I got the AZ shot on Wednesday and didn't feel much of anything, then on Thursday woke up feeling somewhere between high af and hungover af - not sick, but so tired I couldn't look at a screen. Pretty short-lived though, thankfully.

It's the Medicago vaccine that's in phase 3 clinical trials. We knew that either Axe or I was gong to get the vaccine and the other one would get the placebo - since I'm the one that got all the nasty immune reactions, we figure I was the lucky winner.

Are you still in England or are you back in Berlin? My sister has been living in Stuttgart since last fall and she says the vaccine rollout there is really slow.
