The big I Have No Money And I Am Up To My Arse In Debt fairy came and took a big fucking dump on my head last night. Not fun. the_axel and I had a long talk about whether or not we can justify going to Convergence.

Well, we're still going to try and make it. But we're definitely not going to be able to afford the full week of holiday we had initially planned on.

Course I already booked the week off work.

Ah well. Guess that means we'll be helping the_fury haul boxes after all.

Now you know how most of my writing gets done.

On days when it flows, writing is fantastic.

On days when it doesn't, it's like pulling tiny barbs out of your eyelids.

Unfortunately, when I'm doing the "you can't do X until you write Y pages of words (or finish Z document)" reward routine, on the days when the writing is not flowing, I tend to come back to the document I've just churned out and discover it's total crud and needs a complete re-write.
