I have been seeing posts all week on my friends' LJs about what they are wearing, buying new clothes, stressing about not being able to buy new clothes.

[livejournal.com profile] elecrolyte and [livejournal.com profile] emulsional just called me from the road -- they are on their way back to Toronto from Buffalo, which is the location of the nearest Hot Topic. A road-trip specifically arranged in order to have new things to wear at Whitby.

I don't get it. Evidently other people notice these things. I notice tattoos and new limbs, and that's about it.

So this is my official announcement that I will be dressed in my usual fashion. The Aging Punk SlobTM.

I mean, damn. Who the hell wants to spend all that money on corsets when there is beer to be bought?

I no Worry about Whitby

I've kind of realized people just go out on a limb b/c they think others will notice people who are 'underdressed.' (North) American IME, seem to be very self-conscious about being underdressed for whitby.

IME, no one really gives a shit. Everyone is having too much of a good time getting shitfaced to care.
